Vomiting Cats

So I have been worried about my cat for a little while now. She has been vomiting every once in a while and I know the list of causes is about a mile long, which could translate into long visits with the vet, which in turn translates into $$$. So I try to figure things out as best I can before taking that step. I guess this is like the self-diagnosis and treatment most people do for themselves, but with animals it is even better if it works, because unlike humans, there usually is no medical coverage.

Look at me! A health care professional doing the same things I often counsel my patients against. Oh well, I guess I am a hypocrite at times. I think this is similar to most of the human race....but there should be no excuses. As my and many other mothers have said, "If everyone jumps off the bridge, would you do it too?"

Anyways, I think I may have hit on something that may work. My male cat, who seems to be the dominant one in the relationship, scares her away from the food while he is eating, and often the female will go in after and eat some. From what my reading tells me they can vomit after this situation; something to do with stress. And it seems this is when she is often vomiting. So hopefully feeding her seperate after giving her a day of no food will help.
